The World of Virtual Reality

Virtual reality or virtual realities (VR), also known as immersive multimedia or computer-simulated reality,is a computer technology that replicates an environment, real or imagined, and simulates a user's physical presence that environment in a way that allows the user to interact with it. Virtual realities artificially create sensory experience, which can include sight, touch, hearing, and smell.

It was once a costly piece of technology and not very much popular. But now many company have emerged to provide a VR experience for at lower prices. Smartphone manufacturing companies like Samsung, Lenovo, HTC, Huawei have launched their VR headsets which can serve as an add on to their smartphone lineup which have 5 inch or higher screen size but not on tablets.
Lenovo's VR known as ANT VR is a cheaper VR headset which provides theater like experience on mobile phone using its Theater Max technology.
The Cheapest Alternative available is the Google Cardboard. You can download the Google Cardboard app  here. The headset is dirt cheap and can be bought online easily.

HOW IT WORKS

Basically when you put on a headset the environment it shows looks exactly like you are standing out there. It senses the motion of your head to show you the surroundings. In case where the headset uses a smartphone app, Gyroscope sensor is needed for that purpose.

In Lenovo's Theater Max Technology the video is shown for each eye individually. What i mean to say is that an individual video is played for the left eye and an individual video is played for the right eye simultaneously. Then with the help of the lenses on the headset you feel like you are viewing the video on a large screen.

3D Gaming - Oculus Rift

Oculus is also a company aiming to provide the most amazing VR Gaming experience. Isn't it exciting to step right into the gaming and then play. It costs a bit but the experience you get is worth the money.
The VR technology is not so popular in India but the start up kit that have been launched are worth a try.
That's it for here guys , See you next time........... ;)
